Responsibilities:
- To provide QHSSE leadership & advice to all teams, in order to ensure compliance with internal & external demands, delivery of QHSSE performance against KPI’s and goals, foster & promote an effective safety culture and to ensure constant improvement in the effectiveness and implementation of the Company SMS.
- QHSSE LEADERSHIP

PROMOTING A STRONG, PRO-ACTIVE SAFETY CULTURE
- Ensure the Company’s Safety Culture is promoted and maintained to the highest possible standards, in all locations, through;
- Active engagement with all employees on HSE-related issues
- Promoting open dialogue between all employees and departments on means to drive and improve
- Participating in & providing input to HSE-related meetings and inspections
- Actively promoting the Company’s Control of Work processes and safe working practices

QHSSE PERFORMANCE & ANALYSIS
• Develop, implement and deliver against a Regional Annual QHSE Plan that supports achievement of Group KPI’s, delivers additional local value and ensures continual improvement
• Ensure Regional monthly performance data is collated effectively, is accurate and is submitted on-time to the Group QHSSE department
• In conjunction with Group analysis and reports on performance data, ensure local analysis and actions are undertaken and implemented
• Identify trends within local performance and implement effective measures to correct or enhance these trends, as necessary
• Where required, ensure data submitted to Clients is effectively collated & submitted on time, to accurately reflect relevant performance criteria
COMPLIANCE & CERTIFICATION
- Oversight of local compliance with all legislative, operational, client-driven and internal standards, to ensure;
- timely completion of all required audits and inspections, and the retention of associated certification/licenses
- relevant standards, procedures and best practices are correctly implemented or adopted where required
- minimal potential legislative, operational and administrative non-conformity
- the Company’s SMS meets the requirements of all parties and any proposed amendments to internal documents are effectively passed to relevant Group function heads
- where Region-specific SMS content is required to be compiled or amended, assist the relevant function head to submit and close such amendments
- all findings and proposed actions are recorded, managed and effectively closed out within agreed time-frames

CONDUCT OF AUDITS & INSPECTIONS

INCIDENTS & LESSONS LEARNT
• Act as DPA and CSO for relevant Regional vessels
• Act as QHSE lead for Regional investigations of Incidents & Near Misses, where required
• Where required, ensure an appropriate level of Regional QHSSE representation and involvement during client-led investigations
• Ensure root causes and corrective actions are satisfactorily addressed
• Ensure local production and publication of relevant Safety Flashes and Safety Bulletins that will address findings and highlight Lessons Learnt and improvement opportunities
• In conjunction with the above, ensure publications are discussed with Corporate QHSSE to ensure further distribution of such publications to other operating regions

DEVELOPMENT & EVOLUTION
Conditions:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have Professional Qualification or Certification in QHSSE related field
• NEBOSH preferred
• DPA and CSO qualification preferred
Minimum Experience:
• Must have 5 years’ experience in the development and implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental programs preferably dealing with offshore supply vessels.
• Must have experience interacting with clients on HSE matters and building HSE culture.
• Experienced Mariner preferred.
Job-Specific Skills:
Must have good working knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes and other statutory regulations relating to maritime HSE and vessel operations.
